Louisa Wapello Grfen was the faithful widow of an early missionary of the the Church of the California Christ. He died in the expedition that some believe led to the cross at Ashley Falls. Louisas middle name, which has come to be synonym for She who waits, was given to the nation in honor of her sacrifice.
Like Davenpor and Muscatene, Wapello nation is home to one of the few concentrations of members of the Church of the California Christ East of the Rio Grande. The Caltransients, as they are known to people outside of the Three Nations, are known for their crosses on their churches which all appear to be shattered, an homage to the famous Ashley Broken Cross in The Berkshires. Before he or she dies, every Caltransient must travel to see the cross themselves at least 3 times.
Jihn Wranglikan remains the dominant tongue in the lands of the Three Nations.
