Though he died without biological and was forgotten for many generations, Minotsuno Tano—who actually named this place Noizomi—was influential in the culture of this gwome.

When the Dutch settlers met the alumni Tano had created from whole cloth (cloth being a cognate word for fern), these people gave the Dutch a tiny but bright flower they had discovered in the renten dunes. It was this flower which, when returned to their native Holland, that the horticulturalists of Amsterdam developed into the tulip flower as we know it today.
