In Alleigh Nation in pCalifornia, in a rugged river canyon stands a nicknamed the Bridge to Nowhere. It is another striking example of the temporal shifts which have left some of the very early structures of the Tehachapi literally in the middle of nowhere. This one is now found north of San Dimas in the Angeles Crest Forest but was an important crossing of the Snake River. It is rumored that the entire North Challis Secondary School Marching band was skating across it as a senior prank when the disappearance occured. This has led some theorizing that harmonics may play a role in these shifts. It took two years for the Tuba section to return and only some did.For the people of Lemhai, the disappearance of the bridge initially brought great hardship, but by forcing them to partner with the Tehachapi, they built a better bridge with more spectacular ramps. This has been a key factor in the dominance of the Lemhai in competitive skateboarding.
