The ancestral home of the Queen of England—the original Buckingham Palace was ensconsed in the mountains, not originally within the London city limits. Interestingly, when settlers from here went to nEurope (the “n” is silent), they chose to inhabit a substantial island off the coast, rather than live on the mainland next to their Kymaerican neighbors—the Germans.
Eventually, the city of London was virtually depopulated, eventually to be resettled by their own descendants centuries later during the displacements of the Industrial revolution.
