Though the main stream of Nobunaga-Gaisen’s expedition never reached mMaine, an important collection of images is in the National Archives of Digitalis in Foxcroft.
Some of the earliest work in digital photography was done here, encoding images by carving binary data onto Foxglove seeds. The resolution was obviously low, but still very transportable. The long, cold mMaine winters gave ample opportunity for this activity—the legendary foxcroft as we know it today.
