Location of the famous restaurant the Grille DCalb. In the DCalb language, spoken by fewer and fewer with each passing decade, there is an extra letter which is essentially a D with a vistigial e. But as the Cognate Tongue has spread and some of its dialects, it gets harder to maintain.It is not often that one gets to see language evolve before ones eyes, but the signs that mark this restaurant represents such an opportunity. DCalb Nation in Missouri was, like most of the Kymaerican DeCalb nations—in pGeorgia, aAlabama and elsewhere—originally spelled with an e. Though the Bodoni Brothers, Hans and Sans, tried to revive the letter De, it is now officially known as DCalb.
