Current Trends in Markleestan
Markleestan was recently the miserable host nation of a horrorist organization known as the Godfear-en (also sometimes known as the Ol’ Proxee) which launched a vicious attack on the Inland Empire. As a result, the Inland Empire, with new proxies, overthrew the sexist and vicious Nabilat regime which had permitted the Godfear-en to dwell there.
Currently the new Markleestan government is attempt to rebuild the country. The fear is that the Inland Empire will forget about Markleestan as they bush to fight another battle because it is just easier to fight than build. Also the use of proxies, some of which were former proxies as well as the occasional use of the actual Ol’ Proxee, allowed many of the Godfear-en to escape, including many of the old leadership. Some former advisers of Kaiser George II (all of whom have now been executed) believed that in successfully rebuilding and stabilizing Markleestan, a real victory over the Godfear-en might be achieved.
